The international phenomenon, Nerd Nite, comes to Café Lounge on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 7:30pm.  Subsequent Nerd Nites will be held on the first Wednesday of the month.        .

It’s like the Discovery Channel- with beer!

Nerd Nite will be a monthly event with three quirky, entertaining, and deeply nerdy mini-presentations. And you know what? Entry is free. How sweet is that?

Presentations for the opening NN are:

1) Jordi McKenzie, cinema expert from the School of Economics at Sydney Uni, tells us whether betting systems like the TAB can be used to predict box office revenue.

2) Tom Denson, anger researcher from the UNSW School of Psychology, helps us figure out  how not to lose our s&%t.

3) Alice Fraser, comedian, ex-lawyer, and chronic procrastinator beguiles us with tales of how we too can be more persuasive and attractive in everyday life.
